The American Academy of Actuaries partnered with Scholastic to publish a picture book that features an actuary! Their purpose is to educate children about the actuarial profession. The Magic School Bus was among the highest-rated PBS TV series of the early 90s, and the beloved characters are now featured in book series as well. In this story, Ms. Frizzle takes her class on an adventure to learn about probability and risk. The class meets an actuary and gets to see actuarial science at work in the real world.
