Sara Ark, FSA, EA, MAAA
Before relocating to Oregon, Sara lived in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Northeastern University. Sara had over fifteen years of experience with various companies on both coasts before joining IAI in 2009. Sara’s specialties and areas of interest include small company-sponsored defined benefit plans, cash balance plans, financial accounting, mergers and acquisitions, and legal documents.
Sara loves solving problems for her clients and helping them understand their plan. This theme has followed her in all areas of pension consulting, whether it is for a small employer or helping a CEO solve the needs of a larger corporation. Her most significant contribution to IAI is her love of researching complex issues and explaining them to anyone who will listen.
Outside of work, Sara finds fulfillment in daily hikes, reading, yoga, and planning her next vacation.
