Independent Actuaries, Inc. (IAI) was incorporated in 1994 and is an established firm of actuaries and retirement plan consultants. We have a staff of 18 with 11 credentialed consultants. We specialize in defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans for small businesses.
Experienced Pension Actuary
We are currently in need of an experienced pension actuary. Position requires some in office presence, with option for some remote work (hybrid work schedule). Would prefer full-time schedule but can accommodate part-time.
Strongly preferred skills and attributes:
- Have an Enrolled Actuary designation
- Have experience in all aspects of defined benefit pension plan administration including plan design, employee data preparation, retirement benefit calculations, actuarial calculations, preparation of government filings
- Be able to work independently as well as with others
- Be able to manage own client caseload
- Familiarity with small plans, defined contribution plans, retiree medical plans, and ASC calculations are a plus
