Does your business need to register for Oregon Saves?

If you are an Oregon employer and you do not offer your employees a retirement plan, you are required by law to sign up for OregonSaves. If your company offers a retirement plan and you are exempt, you will still have to register your exemption through OregonSaves. In order to sign up or claim exemption, you will need your Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) and an access code sent to you by email or through the postal service. If you missed this access code, you can call 1-844-661-1256.

The deadline for employers with more than 5 employees has already passed. If this describes your business and you have not registered, you should register immediately to avoid penalties.

The deadline for employers with 3-4 Employees is March 1, 2023. Employers with 1-2 employees, Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), and leasing agencies have until July 31, 2023 to sign up.

More specifics regarding the program can be found on the OregonSaves website on both an employer and employee level.
